The talks and the agreement between the ONLF and the Ethiopian government included ONLF’s involvement in the local security forces.
There was no agreement on disarmament.
However, the agreement was that the ONLF and the local community would be united to safeguard peace and stability in the country.
The Ogaden National Liberation Front (ONLF) is committed to the implementation of the agreement between the Federal Government of Ethiopia and the United Nations Security Council, in a joint operation, and will be postponed for a period of time.
It is essential that this process be carried out in a consultative manner and to avoid anything that can be complicated.
